Finally getting around to working on my Black Widow.  I have a rolling chassis with motors, a TrueScale body and NOS Russkit decals.  My problem is the wheels I have are faded/worn and I'm pretty sure the fronts are not correct, not to mention the rubber is worthless for a restoration.

Can someone guide me as to what to look for.  I see many NOS Russkit wheels and tires on E-Bay and Electric Dreams but don't know which are the correct ones.  So I'm looking for #'s to get the right ones to add to this car for my collection.  Thanks.....

Don

Hi Don,

Didn't see this the first time around...

From what I can gather from the 66 catalog, you're looking for No. 723 rear road set screw wheels (also listed are the 724 extra-wide set screw wheels). The 723 wheels are about 5/16" wide, The fronts seem to be similar set screw wheels that are 1/4" wide, but can't find a number for these; diameter of both is 5/8".

The original car had thinner and smaller mechanical rubber tires on the front and bigger German sponge tires on the rear.

Front tires would be the 756 front road tires, and rears 759 Russ-Stik Sponge, extra wide rim.

Here's a shot of my own: I seem to have used the same size wheels both front and rear, and tires are Ortmann. I also have a stock Lola T-70 and that has the original wheels and tires as described above.
