As mentioned previously in an earlier 2018 Parma Checkpoint Cup announcement, the SCRRA will again be using the JK Hawk Retro 7R7R motors in a hand out format for the Can Am race on Saturday, January 27, just like we did at the 2017 Checkpoint Cup and Summer Western Classic. Each racer will again be allowed to purchase a maximum of (3) marked and numbered Hawk 7R7R's and racers must run the motor or motors they were assigned to on entry.
The only change is that this time we will be running the Hawk Retro 7R7R short shaft M28 version as hand outs. Identical to the regular 7R7R's except with a shorter end bell shaft and these marked motors will be legal in the F1 race on Sunday.
As usual the SCRRA will assist any racer with motor break in, cutting of shafts and pinion installation. More to follow shortly with a list of race sponsors and some 2018 Checkpoint Cup poster pics!...........and here's wishing everyone a GREAT 2018!
