Hello.
I have a stock Big Dog motor with can bearing. Can anyone recommend a ballpark gear ratio using .790" tires on a Gerding King high-speed track. It will be used in an anglewinder chassis.
I don't know RPM on this motor.

We've been racing Big Dog motors in Dallas for several years in the retro angle winder class (Retro Pro). I recommend gearing 8/37 - 8/39 64pitch. I ran this gearing on the Gerding King track at first and when Dallas Slot Cars replaced the King track with their current flat track this gearing worked well also.

We used 10-36 or 37 with .730-.750 sized tires on the big dog arms racing on hill climbs.I'd start with an 8 tooth.
