Hi Guys I thought I would share some photos of the Padlock Dragster I have been playing with.
Motor is a Ram 850 w a 6 volt arm cut up & lightend endplates (still got to do a bit more) magnet lamms have been ground & ball bearings installed.
Seeing that I'm racing this & I hav'nt the equipment to make my own I have gone Jds wheels front & back 1 3/16 cragars on the back & maltese cross fronts.
Car currently has a 2.5 ratio (70t 28t weldun 64p) but I will probably go for a 3 to 1 I have also made it so the motor can go back & forth to make gear changes easier (I hope).
Rails are 1.6mm aluminum that I have drilled & shaped drop arm is stainless home made.
Cars total weight is at 195 grams & not completely finished yet it is only mocked up.
Tom

Re run the lead wires more inside the frame to avoid snags.  You can use a straw for 'conduit' to keep the wire free to move.

Nice inside pinion placement.
