Only three? Let me tell you from personal experience. Three is not enough. Five is not enough. Seven? I'm getting there.

3 Cars I would like in my garage I already have one.
A 65 Dodge Coronet 440 but the ultimate would be one of the factory AWB cars.

Second would be a 65 Mercury Comet H/T the ultimate in that would be Jack Chrismans blown sohc powered car.

Thirdly I might go something sporty I saw a nice Healy Sprite years back for sale with a weslake headed paxton blown windsor that was installed in the late 60's that car was cool better would be Norm Cowdreys drag healy.
As Dave Crevie said 3 wouldn't be enough & I could put pages up here of what cars I would like to own the no 3 spot was a hard choice to make.

Many of the new cars are too expensive and depreciate quickly.

A new Corvette or GT350 would be nice but my 30k mile black C5 ZO6 rarely gets driven now.

While I still have the energy I would rather spend that deprecation on racing race cars.

Just another way to spend $$ on cars.

Whatever your dream car is hope (with nannies off) it can make an 11.

I think this turn needs more glue?

3 race cars in the garage now.

I do miss the fun race nights when the old hill climb track occupied this space.

Back in my younger days I was a budding road racer. My three cars would be to have my three race cars back in my garage. The first car I raced which was a 1957 Elva Mk III sports racer. The picture is of my car back in the 50's racing at Bridgehampton NY. The second car was a 1967 NSU TTS. The picture is of me at about the same spot at Bridgehampton as the guy in my Elva. The third car was a Lotus Cortina. All of these were worth nothing back in the 70's but today are out of reach. The Elva and  the NSU was $600 each and the Lotus was $1,000 back in the day.

Nice.  Reminds me of one that got away from me, a 1958 Fiat Abarth Zagato "double bubble" coupe. Could have had it for about $1000 back in 1973, and was seriously thinking of selling my 1971 Karmann Ghia to finance it.  Decided it wouldn't make a very good winter driver  LOL

Cool car, John.

My 73(?) X1\9 was actually a pretty good winter car.

It had rear snow tires with a blue outer circumference.

It survived one of the roughest winters we ever had, snow wise.

I remember those blue tires, made by Metzler IIRC.  The first time I saw them on a car on the road, I thought I was hallucinating  LOL.

The Fiat Abarth was pure race car...absolutely no creature comforts.  Two seats, a roll cage, instruments. Little leather straps to close the doors, not even innner door panels.
