Wish to build some AA/FC Funny car chassis and need advice on tubing sizes telescoping into one another. The sizes I am concerned with are .050" OD stainless tube fitting well inside of .065" OD stainless tube. I notice that WRP and JDS both sell these sizes of stainless tube but I can find no easy way to contact them to ask them this question.

Would you know of any other source for stainless tubing other than WRP or JDS?

Thanks in advance.

Dan,

Try: https://www.mcmaster.com/

Search on "hypodermic tubing" (or just "hypo")

Match up the IDs and the ODs.

Hypodermic tubing is not actually intended to be "telescopic", but you might find a few combinations that fit together that way.

Good luck, and you're welcome! :D

The .050 will fit inside the .065, but it's a sloppy fit.

Dan,

Sherwood Thing and I ordered a bunch of sizes of needle tubing back in the '80s. I don't remember from who .....

The stuff commercially available through slots sources are not specified for their telescoping abilities. The stuff from McMaster is only a partial list of what is available out there iirc.

I am aware of the huge variety of hypodermic stainless tubing out there in the big World. Just wondered if the Slot Car tubes fit together well enough to avoid buying a large amount of tube, from some industrial supplier, when I only want 3'.

Thanks guys.
