...not that I count these things.  Anyway, I'm in the middle of a group of 12 arms/motors and am at the point where I'm waiting on parts, so as much as I hate to change horses mid-stream (*I'm a linear kinda guy), I set all those aside to get back to two "ladies-in-waiting".  Two flavors of the good old 2-hole Mura C (Green) can motors.

On the left is one that's getting the #28 doublewind I showed here earlier.  On the right, a #25 single.  Both serious medicine and, I like to think, looking quite comely all done up in their party dresses.  :D

The arms and setups are done, ready for balancing.  That leaves me another day or two to get into more mischief before the parts get here for the group of 12.  :D

oh and I forgot to mention..."These motors will kill!"

Hi John,

Do you have blisters on your fingers?

What size brass tube and button head screw do you use for the spring posts?

Thanks,

g

Yes, to be sure, this is it...

Hi Geary,

Nah...no blisters.  I got used to winding a bunch at a time doing some for Bill Bugenis a couple of years back.  You sort of go into "autopilot" mode after a while.  It does help to gang all the steps though...wind all 12, weld them, tie them, epoxy them etc.  I much prefer to finish each project though and don;t like changing in the middle.

The tubing you see is the actual Mura post sleeves.  I've never found a thinwall tubing that will fit without just cutting off the molded post nibs...not that that's a problem though, because they often come off with the screws.

The screws are #2 buttonhead screws with a .050" allen head.  I get them from Microfasteners, and they are available in both plated and blued, although it seems sometimes they run out.  The two sizes are about right for the two different sizes the Mura end bell "likes".
