I posted this for Mike Swiss after seeing a recent Mustang body he acquired.

I have watched this video like at least 20 times now. He can flat drive the S*#T out of this car.  :)  Kewl driving.  :dirol:

Judging by the tire marks I can assume he practiced some of those maneuvers, I'm not surprised he had the co-operation

of the city.

Many years ago there was a video named "Rendezvous" that was made from inside a Ferrari 275 GTB as it was driven at high speed

through the streets of Paris. Although shot very early in the morning, the streets had not been cleared for the driver. Nor did

he obey any of the traffic signals. Many close calls with other cars, a bus and a garbage truck. He even drove on the sidewalk

for a while. Wish I had it on DVD so I could post it here.

The film is "C'etait un Rendezvous" -

and the making of...

BTW it was the film maker, Claude Lelouche's own car, a Mere, not a Ferrari

Found the original version of that I think???

At the 3:33 mark and after it REALLY gets a bit more "ballsy" !!!

What fun!!!!

Kind of wondering if this what was inspired the chase scene in the movie "Ronin" ???

I had never seen the documentary debunking the film. I have to admit, when I first saw it I had some suspicions that it had

been staged. If he had been going so fast, he would have blown past the other cars like they were standing still. But I saw

it with the FCA guys, and the gods of the sports car world had spoken. It would have been more believable if the hood of

the car had been in shot. I know from experience that if you mount a camera on the front of a car, close to the ground, it

appears to be moving much faster than it really is.

Incidently, anyone catch the American cars along the way?

In the Ken Block video, note the quick reference to the OJ Simpson low speed chase.

Nice metalwork on the chassis. I find it hard to believe that the same guy did the bodywork.

Yeah, the car is sort of schizoid.

The body is what is known as "Road Warrior" style. Sort of Steam Punk meets Rat Rod. Function over form. But definitely "Funk".
