Well, after the struggle of doing  repair the body crease,I decided to tape it off and paint it today. It didnt come out too badly, but it aint perfect by any means.(You can see a few factory flaws in those bodies after you paint them!!!  :mda:)  She is looking good enough and I will turn it into a complete car.I have MOST of it,but waiting on a few, original parts for her.(Getting a motor as well,Probably involving Mr. Havlicek on this one.  ;) )

Since she is just a HAIR  bit  over 50 years old now,I decided to paint it gold.We will consider this one a "Classic 50th Anniversary Edition"  .   :D

I did the meatball numbers on it after looking at several original Bill Thomas race cars on Google earlier that used them.Classic also used them on their factory built cars as well. Also did the Classic badge on the hood like one of my ASP wears just like it.

Once I actually get it bolted to the chassis,I will do some final "primping" to that body. Due to the light gauge of the Butyrate body,it STILL wants to roll under a hair bit.I have added body armor tape on the inside and will  add inner rails to run the full length of the body on both sided and fasten those to the original Classic body mount.(I do this quite often on this "flimsy" bodies like these.) Work the wheel wells a bit also. I will probably also do a solid front wheel to match the rear Classic solid wheels. (Always wondered why Classic made a SOLID aluminum REAR wheel, but never a front wheel???Always a 4 or 6 spoke????   -_- )

I think it will look nice next to my unpainted Classic Cheetah in the display case.  :)

Eh,She is just a simple factory build car,but I just have an addiction to the Classic line up for some reason??? I will do a VERY brief write up in my "Trailer Park Builds" soon when I get it together.

I am currently working on my first brass/solder together drag car right now as well. That one is coming along nicely, but VERY slowly.... Then into some more SERIOUS,complex  cars.

The chassis under it, is it an old original of some sort or a modern day reproduction? It looks brand new.
