With as cold as it's been you really need to check the air pressure in your tires. They may not look low but I just checked mine and they were 6 or 7 pounds low. What happens when they are low the sidewalls will vibrate back and forth and it will destroy the tire from within. You'll never see it until the tire blows.

 

Also for the one's who don't know what the proper inflation is for your "car" it's on a placard inside the driver side door. It will list the proper tire pressure for the front and rear tires. Don't go by what is on the tire, that is just the maximum tire pressure the tire can handle but is not the proper tire pressure for your car. I've dealt with car mechanics who didn't know this and went by the maximum pressure on the tire.

Bob, looking at the uneven wear I think if you were to rotate them you could get a few more miles out of them.  :)

I wouldn't call them mechanics. More like tool owners.
