Jay and I always stay at the Motel 6 near the Walmart, because we're cheap. LOL...

A fair number of racers seem to stay there every year. It isn't the Hilton but it's OK.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I found a Red Roof Inn, looks like it is right off of I-270.

Eric,

There is a decent Super 8. I have used a few times. It is right near Fisher Road, off of 70 in Hilliard, OH. It is just outside the 271 beltway. Places to eat just up the road and shopping.

Fisher Road is right there. Fisher Road will take you just a couple miles to the track. It runs right into Wilson Rd by the underpass and the track is on the other side. Close and in a nice location.

I think Red Roof is the closest but I have always stayed at the Motel 6. Good value and a nice room.

Sometime this week I will be posting the motel list. It hasn't been updated in a couple of years and needs touched up a bit.

If it doesn't have a shotgun-blast sized hole through a badly-patched door and another hole in line with it across the room and "stains" on the carpeting I'd say it's OK...

Yeah, that's basically how we feel.

I posted that because I stayed in that room but didn't recognize the holes and stains until I was checking-out.

After finding burned spoons, melted candles, blood drippings, etc., in two rooms near a track in SoCal area in 1991 I stay only at Marriott and Hiltons. If you take your spouse or girlfriend you had better go first class or you might not hear the end of it. For example if I ever make it out to BPR I'll be staying at the Pasadena Marriott, good beds and good food, no drug paraphernalia.
