In this years running of RetroPro we got a very late start due to a great deal of entries in the Coupe class. Qualifying got rolling about 8:30 PM and the first main shortly after 9. We had 18 entries which if memory serves me correctly, that is our largest field ever for this class. Now don't quote me on that as I've been out for the majority of 2017. But, in any case it was a great turnout.
Okay, on to how we qualified...When the dust settled it was James Grinstead at the top of the heap with a blistering fast 3.172, Duran Trujillo right on his heels at 3.196 and the third fastest time was Alex Freund a little under a tenth behind them with a 3.256. Dennis Samson and Ben Cervantes Jr. rounding out the top five.
We ran two nine man round robins and combined the lap totals to come up with our victor. The B main was somewhat ugly at the start but once everyone got into a rhythm it was fast and fun. We did see our share of mechanical's again this year and when the checkered flag dropped we had Sam Rackham with the win, myself pulling off the second place position and Bill Vanderziel filling the podium in third.
In the A main I was getting pretty tired and my memory is escaping me on exactly what happened so I'll get right to the podium. Alex Freund take the overall win, Duran Trujillo in second and Jason Holmes bringing home hardware in third.
I'd like to take this time to thank all the racers that stuck around for what seemed like an extra long night. The volunteer turn marshal, Alex Freund and Mill Conroy for race directing these two races.
Concourse: Jason Holmes, Noose paint, Duran Trujillo, Mike Kravitz paint and Rick Dodge, Rick Dodge paint.

Podium shots in the next thread as I ran out of space in this one.
