We  have been only allowed to run long shaft Retro Hawks.

jason

And, Tim, the rules are Spec .615" or any .500" or smaller so I would say no to the .609" because of the retail cost of a waffle tire being over $13.

Same motor long shaft or short shaft. Does it say in the rules specifically only long shaft  7R can be run. Thanks, Tim

The only rules that are in writing are the USRA and Worlds and those are using the PSFK motor and you are right Tim my bad on smaller there are only 2 people that have a say in this Forrest and James and I still don't think BPR is selling any Short Shafts and all the ones used at the CPC were marked

jason

PS no skin off my nose if you do run 1

and we are running By Worlds Rules in these Class

Any 7R motor can be ran. If you ran a 7R at the checkpoint cup then yes you can run it. Sorry Tim I was told .615 spec hub or any .500 hub due to cost. Also since the .609 hub is waffled and the spec tires arent, could mean theyre lighter, I havent weighed them to find out.
There are no worlds group f rules from what I know.
27 L Worlds rules is any steel or combo chassis, any tires, any wing body, single mag group 27 Motor, 2 motors only. Rear end must clear .063 clearance.
2MO rules any motor, any body, any chassis, rear end clearance .063 and only 2 motors alllowed.
If I missed something on those rules Im sure someone who knows them will add to them for 27L and 2MO.

Sorry tim but Forrest and Debbie are trying to keep cost down, even if theyre only a tad lighter. Almost $10 more per pair.

AND Koford Makes the 615 Spec. tire for 12.95 special for the class for handout at the Faster tracks like this Years Nat's in 4 types WX ,WX+,WXX and WXXX

jason

But you can run the .500 hub and it will slow your car down make it easier to drive and make the motor run hotter if you wish got to love America where you still have a choice

Thanks for the clarification James on Group F Motors. That can turn out to be a fun class. Both the RH and the FK.

Also Tim Wilkins the $20 .500 hub tire you are referring to is a full hub speed rubber tire that we use for qualifying for group 7. Speed rubber is not allowed in group f.

Forrest just told me that he was not aware that scrra ran short shaft motors at the checkpoint cup. People have already asked him and he told them long shaft motors only. Sorry if this is an inconvenience guys. Long shaft motors only, these are the same rules they run monthly at BP.

My understanding for the Group F races:
- any commercially available box stock 12 or Group F or Group 12 chassis
Group F (JK Retro Hawk long shaft motor)
-Group F (ProSlot 4002FK motor)
- any .500" hub tire or .615" Koford spec tire

- No speed rubber tires

- Bearings allowed in rear axle

- No chassis modifications other than removing pan weight

Group F - both RH and FK.  Get there early for Pit space as a Big Drag race event is being held the same day.
