I am just about out of my last bottle of the old Trinity Yellow Dot Zip Grip 2. I was curious what everyone uses now in place of it. Is there another product like it available? Or a place to find the formula on how to make some?

Brent,

I'd suggest contacting Slotblog member 'tonyp' via PM. I'm sure he will help or advise you if he can.

Trinity sells several and they have a handy chart. Ive used some of their treatments to alter the hardness of thunder and wonder rubber with good results. Go here: www.teamtrinity.com

I found some new old stock yellow dot (discontinued for a few years) at hobbyking.com or this on ebay6046df0d5632aad475aa680c567863ba.jpg

Be careful with Paragon, I always felt it was a lil too aggressive and it easily made the tires too spongy. Zip Grip 2 was definitely awesome on slot car tires.

Ive played with some of oil based stuff the Dirt Oval RC car guys use, but again, you have to watch it being overly aggressive. Like wipe on followed by instant wipe off.

I like the Trinity tep5005 road rage Works well but not too aggressive.

It would appear you're not the only one. The stuff is sold out thru the website.

It’s close but not exactly the same. No wintergreen I believe.
