Here is my drag car that I have had since I was 12 back in 1995. I haven't used it since then but I was wondering do I need wheelie bars on this car? I know they had them on there before but wasn't sure if they were there for use or just for show. Pictures of my car are below.

Eric, is that drag chassis built from a stretched "Sprints Plus" chassis? I'd say to add the wheelie bars back on. Is drag racing now popular in your area of CT?

Hey Bill- I dont remember what this chassis was built from or who built it for me and my brother when we were younger. Drag racing is not popular at all in CT. The closest drag track is in Agawam. This car hasnt seen a slot car track since the 90s. Might bring to speedzone and try it on their drag strip when i go there for a retro race.

Eric,

Where did you use to run? Branford, West Haven?

Eric, I enlarged your first photo for a better look at your chassis on my laptop. Instead of a "Sprints Plus", it uses the front & back pieces of a womp chassis. Let us know how it runs once you get a chance to try it on a strip.

A club group here in NH built a dragstrip & has held a few races. They run hard body cars with scratchbuilt chassis, spec motors, & urethane tires. They run a number of 1/32 & 1/24 classes.
