February's D3 Hardbody races had another good turnout of racers at Buena Park Raceway.
Hector Gonzalez set a new total lap record for the 40's-50's inline NASCAR class by recording 238 laps with his '51 Chevy (old record, 231 laps). An Amazing performance by Gonzo.
Another record was tied in the GTP race as Keith Tanaka was the second hardbody racer ever to record a sub 5 second lap during a hardbody race on the BPR flat track. Keith joins Victor Dubrowsky (first to record a sub 5 sec. lap) in the 49er club.
Tim Herrera won the first race of the day with his fast '56 T-Bird.

Dennis Samson joined in the fun for the first time with his GT40 car. Welcome to D3 Hardbody Racing Dennis.

Thanks to Debby and Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at BPR.
Thanks to our race directors: Hector Gonzalez, Victor Dubrowsky.

Here's the link to the race/photo report: RACE REPORT

We started adding podium car chassis photos to the race report (as requested by Bruce Frye).

Team sign-ups for the Hardbody Enduro on April 15th have been completed. We now have 8 teams signed up for the enduro.

Next hardbody races on Sunday, March 18th. BPR opens at 10 AM, Mixed race at noon followed by GTP/NASCAR race.

So you are limiting the Enduro to eight teams?

Yes, the chassis photos are a good addition. I went on the Hard Body Pro-board to have a closer look at Gonzo's body mounting system, but got a "Page not found" error message. It might have been Photobucket, but is there any plans to return it using another format?

Bill, the Photobucket website is no longer available for our photos. I'm using Smugmug now, but I need to update the old photobucket photos with smugmug photos. I'll try to update the "page not found" photos when time allows. Thanks for your feedback.

Craig, our enduro has been limited to 8 teams for 4 of 5 enduros that we've had since 2014. It's much easier to keep track of the teams thruout the enduro versus having more than 8 teams. If there's add'l racers who want to participate, it depends on the teams signed up and our hardbody committee to decide if "up to 4 racers per team" would be allowed. So far, there hasn't been any interest for teams to have 4 drivers rather than 3.

Bill, here's a Smugmug "link" to Gonzo's body mounting technique: https://socald3.smug...-body-mounting/
