I figured that it would be easy to figure out which Marx 1/24 car this is!
Not so much!
Just what is it?
Thanks!

Not all manufacturers replicated actual vehicles.
This one seems to be a mix of BMW and Maserati.
Just a thought, check out the cars of "Speed Racer". Could be it's from the cartoon.

More likely the last front engine evolution of the 3 liter Testa Rossa. Many modelers think vac form bodies are blobs, Marx proves them that even molded bodies can be ugly.http://www.racingspo...0 TRI/__61.html

More like a Ferrari 246 I believe - pretty popular slot body in the early days.
These Marx cars were marketed more as 1/32, but they're obviously oversized, and closer to 1/30 or even a bit bigger. They also did four 1/24 cars later in the day, two FI/Indy cars, not that common, and a Ferrari 250 GTO and Chaparral 2 that pop up often on ebay - and most sellers have no idea what they are!
Yes, Sears sold a lot of Marx sets, but others under the Allstate brand as well, including Eldon and Aurora, maybe Strombecker too. (actually, not sure the others were branded Allstate, but the Marx sets for sure).
