Has anyone tried distilled water for break-in?

If so, is there any difference?

I haven't noticed a difference either but in theory distilled water won't conduct electricity like some water with a lot of mineral deposits can.

Realistically though unless you have seawater coming from your tap I don't think its a issue, but it can't hurt to try. It sure is cheap enough.

It'll take longer. The minerals in the water are what speed up the process.

Well the local Canton Ohio water is chunky so it should work a charm! :)

I've tried distilled and tap.  With my tap water the break in is actually better AND much faster.  FWIW
