What is everyone using these days to match brush spring tension? I used to have a fiddle stick but it's MIA and no longer available. Plus they were pretty subjective at times anyway.

Short of building my own rig what is out there?

Or if you built one I'd love to hear how you did it.

Thanks.

Post wanted on Racer Swap Shop here. They are merely a reference point, so always use the same one.

Plus they were pretty subjective at times anyway.

I realized that, in about three minutes, when I got back into slot racing, in late '81.

If the long end didn't come of the hook, effortlessly, it was an exercise in futility, and even then, it seemed like repeatability was iffy.

I used Koford springs, stock, 99% of time.

When I didn't, I just matched them visually.

R-Geo also had a unit to measure springs off of the motor.

R-GEO had a unit that held a spring off of an endbell. You still needed a Fiddle Stick to do the measuring.

I use a fiddle stick along with this little tool built by Rgeo?

Recently I purchased this cheap dial tension gauge to measure the relative spring pressures using the above tool.

I don't think new ones are still made. Someone may have a used one they want to sell.
