Cool chassis. About ten years ago I did a 3-D model of a chassis I was thinking of making in the 5-axis machining
centers at work. I tabled the idea mainly because you can't effectively solder to aluminum. I thought about doing it
in brass, but with the price of a block of brass it would have been too pricey and I didn't see any way to get a return
on the investment. All the cross sectional thicknesses were much thinner that the one shown above.

I just see it as a fun hobby project.
Not everything has to be built to compete, or sell.
Speaking of solder, now having more time to study the pics, I now see how he screwed a brass sheet to the motor area, to solder the motor to.
I also like his screwed on, upright loop, brace.
