Space bar issues have been causing problems here lately! I first noticed this back before X-Mas.  When trying to type messages, hitting the space bar would result in a complete return by my cursor, or no activity at all.  Being that it was a good excuse to buy a new computer, I made a quick trip to Staples to buy a new HP.  Today, while trying to post to another topic here at Slotblog, the issue returned.  Now I'm wondering if it is site specific, it only happens here on this site.  So, has anyone else noticed this?

Similar issue here at times. I will type a message and the space bar will not work. Very sporadic, but annoyingwhenithappens !

Ditto; no problems noted.

But I thought...

Isn't the space bar where Luke went in the first movie?

Same problems typing this post and many others in the recent past.   I can solve it by activating  the "bold" button and then cancelling it.

Hmmmm.... and I thought it might be the batteries going low in the wireless keyboard...

TIP FOR MAC USERS: if you are using a wireless keyboard and you start getting the beach ball more and more often, you should charge/change the keyboard batteries. The Bluetooth charge indicator isn't always accurate. Same goes for wireless mice/trackball/whatever pointing device...

I'm gonna add that at the first instance of the problem with the newly purchased lap-top, it went back to Stapels, and was replaced with another!  Now that's what led to this post, I'm having numerous problems trying to make THIS post even now! Backspace, tab, space bar, return, action!  Also, Staples contacted me a few days after the return stating that they couldn't find a single issue with the returned lap-top!!

You may be getting interference on the Bluetooth link, try using a wired keyboard, as the good Lord intended :)

Cheers.

Everything I use is wired.  Hate bluetooth connections because of the slowness of reaction time.

If it's so great, why are slot car controllers not bluetooth?  Let that sink in a bit....

I've had similar issues. When first trying to type a reply, the first time I hit the space bar the frame moves up and nothing works. I move cursor to off screen border, click twice, go back and it works as normal. Never had this problem with old lap-top. Only happens on this site.

I am on the road until Sunday with poor access but when I get back home (for a day before heading to OH for the R4!) Ill investigate this issue. Never seen it on my end on Mac or PC.

I have not noticed it to be slotblog specific - until now.....but we have a shared experience or bug.
