OK...so I figured out that it's an AFX Magna Traction chassis .
But those wheels and tires ? AJs ?

Yes, those are AJ's. You can still buy them (old stock) from some vendors.

Looks like a "Flamethrower" (working headlights) chassis to me based on the unique pick-up plates wrapping around to the sides.
Rear tires look like AJ's threaded axle silicones to me.
Front tires look like Riggen O-rings but they also look a lot like the Super II fronts. AJ's may also have made something similar based on how similar the color and surface finish look to the rears.
Sorry about the nerf. "Sorry? Sorry? There's no apologizing in slot car racing!"
Besides, where would I even begin? I should probably start with my wife ...

The only thing I know about slot cars is if I had a good time when I leave the building! I can count the times I didn't on one two three hands!

Comparing the Super II fronts to the AJ's makes me think that they came from the same source. Either AJ's made them for Aurora or they bought them from Aurora after the Super II bombed.

To me it looks like a standard AFX Magnatraction chassis except the wheels. A good overview of the different Aurora AFX Chassis can be found here:
