Hi guys,

I have started putting together a frame for the Arco 9/4 motor John H put together for me towards the end of last year.

The frame is made from 2mm .2 mm wall thickness stainless tube with a WRP inline can drive bracket and .025" brass sheet.

Tires are JD's .500 Cragar s/s out back and the same brand O-rings up front.

Body is the Shinoda P from Gene's World.

I'm planning on running a Weldun 16t 64p pinion and maybe a Sonic 48t 64p crown. The car still needs a little work; it still needs some wheelie bars and maybe an interior. The motor in the pics is one I just had laying around and I will do most of my testing with it.

Nice job, Tom! It should run as good as it looks.

Keep us informed of the results when the car is completed and tested. :)

How old should a highway be before you tell it, that it has been adopted?

Thanks, guys.

I will post more pics when the car is finished and let you all know what it ends up running but we don't have a strip here currently and we may have to wait til the Rods & Rails event.

Tom, you ever consider building a strip? Even a 1/8 mile?

Hi Dave,

Yes, I have considered it. We have room at home for a 1/8 track, just never got round to doing and the electrics and timing are a bit costly.

The local track is going to put one in at some point and they do have a mobile dragstrip, too. I may hire it at some point to do some testing.

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks, John. I like them, too; they are nice wheels.
