Hi everyone,

I just got the thumlers tumbler model B and I have been cleaning the chassis with walnut shells. I get a good shine but I feel like a liquid polish would help. Im looking for recommendations on a good polish that will speed up the process.

Thanks in advance.

Walnut shells?

Never used that media.

I use ceramic pellets, water and a few drops of dish soap and that combo works great.

I'll have to try some walnut shells.

If you can find some "Toasted Buckwheat" in a bag, usually at a international type food store, that works great. Add a couple of squirts of "Turtle Wax" spray, Presto, shiny pretty fast. I use this for cleaning .45 cases. Works like a champ. Just an idea. But, make sure it is "toasted buckwheat".

I tried walnut shells once and the chassis came out black.

I use Buffalo Arms ceramic media and Buffalo Arms liquid soap.

One capful per tumble, with enough water to cover the media about 1.5".

As far as "speeding up the process", I don't know that's possible.

I tumble about 8 hours.

Pablo,

What size media do you use and what polish do you use?

I like the same ceramic pellets and naphtha. Knocks down the shine some, and it seems to help prevent rusting.
