Hello all,

 

I need input from all of you that plan to race RetroPro at the Zimmerman race so I can get this information back to Bryan Warmack.

 

We historically run this race Friday evening and I'd like to know if that is how we should leave it or run it Saturday or Sunday. If not Friday night we would run after either Can-Am on Saturday or after F1 Sunday.

 

Please let me know if we go with the status quo or change it to another day and time. I've set up a poll over on Facebook so if you have an account I'd really appreciate you voting there.

My 2 cents:  I prefer after Saturday's Can-Am race. Eliminates staying overnight or getting up early and making a second drive.

 

Can-Am to RetroPro is an easier transition than F1 to RetroPro IMO.

It would be possible for me to race RP if it was Saturday night, since I work Friday nights.

If this is going to happen, I'm going to have to get all my motors back from Dale.

Keep in mind that at next month's Zimmerman, we could have 35 Can-Am racers which means six races which means we probably won't be finished with Can-Am until 6 PM or so...

 

And there would be no time for RP practice on Saturday morning...

Will be a long day, but should be done before midnight.

I am still for having RP on Saturday.

You might even get another three or four participants who are already there for Saturday's Can-Am race. Like me. (Maybe.)

I would say Sunday after F1 but I'm being selfish because I'm driving home from the Nats on Sat, but if its at 5-6 I should be home by 1-ish and a short nap and over to BPR to play again just have to have the car prepped before I head North

Okay, all:

 

By popular vote, Saturday was what the majority wanted for this years RetroPro race at the Zimmerman.

 

Tech will open immediately after the conclusion of Can-Am.  I'm thinking of giving you all an hour and a half to test and 

 

prepare your car for this race.  We will move that time forward if all are ready in advance of that time allotted.

Jim Lane took top honors in Saturday's Zimmerman Festival of Speed RetroPro race.
