I hope we can establish something of this nature, and something usable to build replicas for fun or to race.

the anglewinders with bat pans and plumbers,i still hope to create recreation races.
in the slotcar newspapers you would see 50 cars both photos of top and bottom and you could see each drivers car and all the cool variations, the challenge is to get these photos with good enough resolution to blueprint to build.and with the spec sheets you could recreate rick shigs car or limpach,etc.etc.and live vicariously through your recreation or the builders out there can buid for you, like in those good old days, before i hit 120 years old.

I'm looking at more specifically for example if there was big race where there was a race report showing the cars the we're raced both top and bottom photos as I've seen then there's a chance to recreated those cars and potentially that race in as far as the cars and the components that were used, and possibly recreating what it was like to race as Tim Mcanimch, (just kidding that was one of my bosses as a young adult, lol)Mike steube.Read post #4.

Bruce,
What year, month, and specific race would the cars in question have appeared on the podium? We can then look through our piles of old magazines for possible examples.
There are strong rumors of a book on this subject being released in the near future. Stand by for more info.

there was a recent blog i believe that showed a major race around 1970 i believe in one of the racing newspapers with 50 to 100 cars showing the bottoms of the chassis, cant recollect anymore.
thanks for giving me hope,if that book comes available that will be great.
