We all know that our resident jewelry maker Rick Thigpen's work is simply outstanding. He has been gracious enough to provide us with his "Owl Chump" NASCAR chassis that is now on eBay for auction.

Once again 100% of the proceeds will go to help Jay. Thanks again, Rick!!

Here is the eBay link:

For years, I have wondered who Owl Chump was... and now I know... Truly beautiful work on the chassis, and a very nice thing to do...

Al Chuck (Owl Chump} is one of the genuine nice guys in the hobby and is still racing in open classes to this day. Co-author of the famous Grundy Gazette.

I don't know the how and when, but it was his race reporting "name".

Lou,

That's a great handling chassis. I have the sister car in my box of "Shop Cars" I run at Eddie's. Rodney has the original and they are great fun to run together (seperated by a lane!). We both run C-cans with NCC20 arms. A modern C-can with similar power might also be a good choice.

Enjoy :)

Rick

Oh, the chassis is set up for 1/16 track clearance with 3/4 front and 7/8 rears (1/8 axles) and a 3/4 diameter spur gear (I'm running a 45T-64P Fass).
