From eBay:

"The MTT flat track has a long history in international competition as originally designed by Michel Thoumieu. This MTT was built by the late Brian Crosby of Ogilvie Tracks for the 2009 Model Car World Championships in Toronto. Brian Crosby was a great builder and no expense was spared in the making of this track that remains as one of the best, if not the best, MMT track in the world.

Three additional track sections were made by Brian at the time to reduce the layout to a 'short track' format. Brian explained to me at great length why these had to be cut at the same time as the main track to ensure the best performance. Brian installed the track personally and it has not left the building since which is climate controlled and a non-smoking environment. The short track sections are included in the sale.

A Lapmaster system, replacing the original Spytech race control, was personally installed last year by its designer Carsten Gronnemann along with a new Dell OptiPlex 3040 computer and monitor. The track is powered by two DC transformers. computer; monitor and power supplies are included in the sale.

The track is in 'as new' condition having only been used for the Toronto Worlds and after as a personal track. Estimated total run time would be less than 300 hours.

Local pickup only. Track will remain assembled until pickup in north Toronto to ensure customer's satisfaction. Assistance in disassembling the track will be provided. Ground level drive in ramp or standard shipping dock height access is available."

Amazing track! What would the average lap times for diff groups of racing be? I've never seen/raced on anything like it.

I'm sure a good home is waiting. :sun_bespectacled:

When was the last ISRA/USA Nats? Is the East coast or West coast active? Great track for it.

Brian's masterpiece. When the 2009 Worlds were completed I helped Ernie Mossetti move the track back to its home. I assume he was the one selling it.

I attended an ISRA USA Nats in New Jersey in September 2014 at the Garden State ISRA Club. The former Chick's Anaconda was the track.

I'm jealous of the North Carolinians (real word ?) that will get to play on that baby. Indeed the nicest and also most challenging MTT design that I've seen. Roughly similar to the track that was at "The Cave." Given the asking price... no surprise that It sold pretty quickly.

Greg, do you know if it is an additional track or a replacement for an existing track in Concord?

Don't know, Eddie.

Here's most of what Randy posted on the track's Facebook page, which is why I knew where the track was headed:

"Here at The Slot Car Track 2019 Division II Scale Nats headquarters we are proud to announce we are purchasing the Ogilvie 8 lane MTT flat track! Because of the quickness of the purchase we don't have an exact date of when it will be up but we will keep the racers informed of the progress and will let you know the minute it is ready! We appreciate all the racers after all without you tracks like us would not be here! After we get everything set up we will be adding dates for practice races for the Nats to give racers a chance to get in some racing time before the BIG event!"

Talked to Ernie yesterday and my memory was only out by 10 years LOL. This wasn't his track after all. He held the worlds in 1999.

Jim, they snow ski in North Carolina, too. :laugh2:

I think Ernie's track went to Lou Pirro in Rotterdam Jct., NY, and was subsequently destroyed in a flood created when the river's locks malfunctioned. This happened about ten years ago.
