Weird that it ships from Orlando.

That's the Peachtree, GA, King.

Was it sold and it's already back up for sale?

In the pictures, I kind of like the way they start racers staggered at the beginning of the straight. They should all hit the dead man at the same time. :bomb:

The rumor mill indicated that all the PTC tracks were sold to a buyer in FL, but no one ever learned who it was. Supposedly to someone who planned to set them up in a larger entertainment facilty, as opposed to a traditional raceway.

And that info was often disputed/discounted.

If the current seller is in FL, then that would tend to confirm the rumor, I'd say.

I have to laugh at the listed BIN price as well as the $26 current bid.

In a way it is good to see the King up for sale. Saturday at CMS we were talking and the speculation was that the tracks were never sold and could have been destroyed.

Good luck with that asking price.

This track moves around, like other Gerding Kings. Where was it located prior to Peachtree buying it in 2014?

I’ve never heard anything about this guy. Too bad it never got set up.

The price is crazy.

I might be wrong, but I think it was a private track, that was possibly in someone's large basement.

I wonder how many full size 1/24 eight-lane commercial tracks are set up at homes or in barns? I hear there are two Gerding Kings in the DFW area. One was built for private use and one is the Dallas Slot Cars Gerding that they sold.

The King that was at DSC was Gerding G16 and it is/was at a private track called BS Raceway in St. Paul, TX.

It is currently for sale, as the owner admits to being burned out and supposedly is moving out of state before too long.

I would suggest there aren't that many Kings in operation on private property. Another one that bit the dust not too long ago was Slidmarks Raceway in MI. That King is now at Downriver Raceway in Lincoln Park, MI.

There's the Koford 'house' King that is basically run as a private raceway, being open only when there's a race scheduled.

Anyone know of any other Kings up and running on private property.
