The Low CG guide continues to do well at the 2018 ISRA Worlds.

Earlier today, in the 100 car, 1/32 F1 field, with racers that have confirmed they are using them, they qualified 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 13th.

And those 4 cars made it to the final 24, finishing 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 22nd, in the heat races.

I edited the above post, with confirmation of new information.

As it turns out, the TQ, and eventual winner, Dominykas Budrys was TQ, and the winner, in 1/32 F1, using the C/R Low CoG guide.

This pic shows how, in this class, the effort the ISRA racers make, where they can, to replace steel with brass.

It only makes sense to also replace plastic / graphite, with brass.

Congrats to Dominic Luongo on his wins in both GTC (on the 220' American Purple Sovereign) and F1 (on the Gerding King) , at NERR Race #2, at Modelville Hobby, in Ashland, Ma., using the C/R Low CG guides.

I was at Modelville Hobby last Saturday and tried a CL weighted RF guide in F1 on the Gerding king. The car was definitely better with the weighted guide. I could stick it a bit further into the deadman after the guide change and could full punch the donut. I am impressed!

Does the added weight to the front of the car loosen the back up some, or does it just make it harder to deslot without having an impact on traction? Im wondering if its a good item for tuning in specific situations, or if its just plain faster across the board.

My car was already good, but the guide change just seemed to plant the whole car a bit better and I could be more aggressive with it.

When I made the first one, and put it on a Retro car, I didn't see a loss in traction.

They add an additional .7-.8G of weight.

In theory, if you went with conventional wisdom, that weight in the front, loosens up the car, in the case of a Retro car, where you are not tied to the chassis being unmodified, like a stamped car, you would just shave that .7-.8G off the front of car, and your fore-aft weight distribution would remain the same, with just that .7-.8G, lower in the front.

That said, I probably sell the most to flexi racers, who can't carve their chassis(but can, if adding weight to their frame, can compensate by adding a bit less, and moving it further back, if possible, to also compensate)

PS- congrats on your recent racing successes, in Florida.

Thanks, and I appreciate the reply/explanation. I think my local track was ordering a few weighted guides for inventory, so Ill likely pick a couple up soon. I know the owner has run them in the past.

Big congrats to Keith Libby, on his TQ, win, and runner-up, Matt Bruce, on his TQ and win, Brian "XPro" Cochrane on his runner-up, and Jimmy Williams Jr. on his 3rd, at last Saturday's Retro East race at The Race Place.

Another congrats, to Keith Libby, on his Stocker win, earlier today, at Fall Brawl IX, against a super-duper field of All Star, retro racers.

I really appreciate he uses the CR Low CG guide, as a portion, of his winning combination.
