Im willing to have a schematic drawing competition the winner will get a prize,so submit your drawings to me.Fred if hes willing and I will judge the contest the one closest to what we remember will win and whoever figures out how Roy could have mounted the motor with the 1 inch drop arm space for the motor.

based on what you build remediation  classes to hone your skills in all areas, chassis building, armature winding and motor building, car setup, bodyainting, driving, age groups,7 to 10,11 to 14,15 to 18, 19+

This is what I will create in my future project(be an enterpreneur lets implement this, actually lets get our youth to be enterpreneurs in starting this,as Dave ramsey does with his teens enterpreneur toolbox, thats the new thing for the youth today like shark tank is inspiring,so inspire your children/grandchildren,nephews and nieces,(theres multiple careers here, mechanics, electronics, painting, driving, strategy,to be slotcar enterpreneurs.

The parameters:

An Ed lewis full sidewinder with idler gear where the motor is placed further forward and bat pans have no cutouts to accommodate motor endbell ,now whoever can come up with the solution of mounting the motor to mesh with gears acceptably.
