I have been getting a Mackeeper pop-up when I open Slotblog. Anyone else?
Does not happen all the time.

I've been getting that, along with a warning that Slotblog is not a secure website.
I am not a doctor, but I played one as a child with the girl next door.

The 'not secure' warning I am also getting but I think this is A/V software looking for something it is not seeing since Slotblog is a full version behind on upgrading our base software. Working on that as well.

It has absolutely nothing to do with slot cars...

Running a Mac - Slotblog loads with no problem under Safari - will not load under Firefox.

Alan,
I check Slotblog with Firefox, although I hadn't done so for several weeks.
Just confirmed that Firefox loads Slotblog with no problems whatsoever.
in fact, I am replying to your post using it right now. Why you are having an issue with Slotblog and Firefox, I have no idea.

Firefox warned me I was not using the latest version so I just updated it and again, Slotblog loads with no issues.
Posting this using Firefox Quantum v.60.0.1.

Mike P.,
No security warning from Firefox FWIW.

This is what is returned when I call up Slotblog on Firefox (latest version)
An error occurred during a connection to www.slotblog.net. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP

Alan,

Sounds like you need to update Firefox. Can you confirm the version you are using?
Also what version of MacOS are you on?

Problem partly solved - seems to be an error in the Slotblog URL as stored in Firefox. If I copy and paste any URL from sub address, it works.
OS 10.11.6 El Capitain
Quantum 60.0
Now all I need to do is figure out how to get the erroneous URL erased.

Well, you are behind on your MacOS version, which is currently 10.13.4 High Sierra. And it seems there's an incremental Firefox version at 60.0.1.
Try this:
Open your Firefox bookmarks, show all. Search for the Slotblog bookmark and then delete it then make a new one.

Went into Firefox history, cleared all Slotblog references - now working OK!
Have not gone to OS 10.13.4 - everything is working well and I'm always worried about what an upgrade might break e.g. I'm not sure that my current Parallels will run under High Sierra.

Don't know what Mac you are on, but my recommendation is to upgrade to High Sierra, if for no other reason than the minor security holes it patches.
I've almost always upgraded the latest OS the day it is released and have never had a problem... knock on wood.
In re: Parallels, see this link, from the software maker's website:
Known issues with macOS 10.13 High Sierra and Parallels Desktop for Mac
Not a whole lot being reported.
