I thought I had seen a GTP type body for the 4.5 inch chassis. We have used the Nastrucks and vintage stock cars. Just looking around for options to continue racing the chassis with different bodies.
Any leads would be appreciated.

Gene, others can't post photos either, you're not alone. cheater is on the road in Florida at the moment. In another thread today, he posted he'll look at the problem when he gets home Friday.

Mike, it is a photo I have saved on my computer. I use Google to get to slotblog and as a web browser. Does that help any? Most of this stuff is over my head, I only understand the very basic computer stuff.

The only 4.5" GTP style bodies I've seen were actually the thick lexan bodies made by Tamiya for their Tamtech 1/24th scale RC cars in the late 80's, early 90's. They did a Porsche 962C, a Ford Probe GTP, and a BMW-March. These bodies actually fit pretty well onto a 4.5" Flexi chassis.

JK at one time made a 4.5 Ferrari 333 body.

TrueScale had a 4.5" Porsche 962C that Victor offered. Since it's 4.5" maybe you could find some for sale here on SlotBlog. If you can find one or a hardbody kit you like Randy at The Slot Car Track in Concord, NC can pull re-pops. I was there recently and saw some bodies he had pulled and they looked good.

Parma once made Tamtech replacement bodies for the Tamiya R/C cars in 1/24 scale, that were perfect fits on slot chassis.
The two I remember are the Porsche 962C and the Lancia LC2, although technically both were Group C cars, not GTP.
Both bodies were 4.5" wheelbase and approximately .015" inch thick Lexan.

Not sure if they are still available, but TSRF (from Electric Dreams?) may have the 4.5" (WB) thick Lexan Lancia LC2 & Porsche 962 shells as well.

It is my understanding that Mid-America has these available. They are super crisp and well detailed. Thickness appears to be around .020" or so.
Check with them if you want to purchase 1/more.
The sticker sheets that Tamiya made for these bodies are readily available in the secondary market and reasonably priced.
P962 kurz: "Racing" (Rothmans) and B.F. Goodrich/Busby (67 & 68)
LC2: Martini & Rossi and Geest
The above photos are to give you an idea of the livery. They are not applied to the Lexan bodies being discussed.
A number of companies produce both self-stick and water release decals for the 962C. Nearly all raced liveries have been made at some point in 1/24th scale.

"Although technically both were Group C cars, not GTP." Group 'C" was the GT Prototype of the era.
