With the issues lately that have caught up our old SRT system, Haven Raceway and Hobby is proud to join the 21st century of slot car racing and has placed the order for its brand new Lapmaster timing and scoring system for the Hillclimb. Expect it arrived and up and running for middle of week after next!

Good luck, it has a steep learning curve, but there is a lot of info there.

I love using Lapmaster. Still learn new functions it offers every month.
The on-line "help" manual is very useful. Some of the things can be confusing to read, but fairly obvious when you actually try them.
I have run many test races (usually with very short stints) to see how the different options work.

Off the top of my head our dead strip is about a car length and a half, maybe a fuzz more.

How big is a fuzz? We don't have that unit of measure. Is it like a smidge?

4.13 smidges to the fuzz when converting from Metric to SAE, Dennis. LOL.

My convert app does not have that one. I will suggest an upgrade...

That sounds pretty long, which is probably good.

There was a wing Nats, where there weren't issues with Lapmaster, until they got to I15, which they never had run since installing it, and then there was trouble counting, and they had to postpone the race until the next day, to lengthen the dead strip.

I also heard of grumbles from racers of missed laps, when my old boss, Stu Koford, installed Lapmaster on his track.

From all the feedback I've heard over the years, it's pretty clear, Lapmaster isn't as brain dead to install and debug as SRT.

That's why I've resisted installing it.

I had so much aggravation when I installed BSRT Lanemaster on my King, I just don't want to go through that again.

That's why even though you don't get dead-on accurate practice, or race lap, times, I went with SRT on my Flat track.
