Slotblog member Paul Shoemaker (Pshoe64) has penned a couple of terrific and very informative articles on his HO-focused website, Speed, Inc. If you're into the Aurora pancake HO cars, don't miss them!

Snagged this illustration of the US patent for the original Aurora AFX 'Magna-Traction" chassis design from part 1 above. I don't think I've ever seen it before.

From that Patent Application to this, the ultimate evolution. Rick Jockaim's car he used to win at the HOPRA Nats in Boston, The Fray in California, and driven by R C Lincoln to win at the Quarrel in Wisconsin. The Big three.

I was great talking to you the other day John.

I remember Bob Bernhardt showing up at a few HO races in So Cal in the 70s.

As I recall... he drove a hot rodded Datsun 510.

the original G+ was fast, but "evil" car to drive, it would give you no warning when it was going to fly off the track.

I had more interest in the 1:1 cars the guys were driving. Gary Beddle had a 240Z, Nick Toma had a Corvair Turbo, ha ha
