Jon Aubin was the Semi-Pro winner.
Him and and his dad, Gil, might be the only slot racers that never yelled at a marshal, no matter how inattentive, they were.
IIRC, Jon was in his first G7 racer, ever.
He ran my car, and along with the win, TQ'ed with a time better than the Pro TQ, the next day.
The best was when a top, top racer, trying to deflect some heat, for cherry picking, and entering an amateur race, brought up me lending Jon a car, as something comparable.
I pointed out, along with obviously not driving the car, the other 2 guys on the Semi-Pro podium was Steve Koepp, a Parma employee, and long time racer, and Robert Pittman, an Australian, Koford sponsored, Pro racer, and at the time, the reigning G7 single lap record holder, who only decided to enter Semi-Pro after running in the G7 warm-up, earlier in the week, and feeling over-matched.
