My new G12 arm has lost half its tag.
This makes it not legal (luckily the Scrutineer gave me some grace over the weekend) but I need to get it fixed

Who can do this?

You have to send it back to the manufacturer.

Is this the same motor you showed the excessive brush wear on?

No, Pablo, that was an ES24 strap motor.

What Mike said.  If anyone other than the manufacturer screwed around with it, I don't think you'd technically have a legit arm anymore.  Just thinking about this from the technical side, I *think* getting what's left of the tag off there would be really difficult unless the whole tag was just barely on there.  If so, then installing another tag seems like the only solution...and re-balancing afterwards.  From the manufacturer's POV, sending a new arm would be an easier solution.

The picture also reminds me of something I've thought about before, that is that many/most(?) production arms look as though they use the absolute least epoxy possible as part of optimizing every aspect of armature production.  That's understandable on one hand, but seems as though it could lead to things like this.
