All 3 of the hill climbs have been around a lot longer than Avon. They also have local and state races from 3 separate race series. Eds raceway just hosted the Southern Retro Rumble and a Flexi National Series last year. The hill climb footprint seems to be successful.Unfortunately, no. Its hard to believe in a state with 23 million people a premier facility with a King does not exist. The biggest track in the state is here in avon park. All the other 3 tracks have the same footprint, hillclimbs.
Hopefully Avon has a good run like the current tracks.
I would love to to race on a blue king or engleman but they just don't have much success in, FL. Unfortunately.

Kings do require a pretty big space.

And the hill climb requires much less walking to put cars back on.
Some of us do come off.

Nats aren't always run on Kings. LolYes the footprint of a climb allows smaller spaces. But again, 23 million people here and not one premier business with a king? Its the track that all the Nats are run on, the standard so to speak. Oh well, with all the tracks closing its obviously a tough row to hoe.

Agreed. But some of the turns are harder to reach for kids. And the hill climb requires much less walking to put cars back on.
While I have a King, before I became a raceway owner, when I traveled to races,(a lot-lol), I loved to run on Hillclimbs and Grandstands.

On a related note, I really like my local raceway, and henceforth Fast Eddies Raceway shall be deemed a Super Premier Business and Facility. I expect everyone to fall in line and refer to it as such.

Mark... jump in the game and open a track if you want to see one of the King tracks in storage set up and running. You can probably do it for less than $20K if you're careful – and lucky.

This track would still be in business with someone with a brain running it.
By the time it was up for sale when Ernie Provetti and I looked at buying the business, he had burned the landlord so bad there was no way to get a new lease in that venue.

The raceway was in a great location.
I would see walk in traffic all the time without even receiving a simple hello greeting.
The rules literally changed every week.
Of course when it was all over the owner blamed everybody but himself.

ASR - Kenny used to be a drummer for Molly Hatchet? LOL Great Music, Blue King track and the hillclimb that Marcus grabbed.
The dragstrip was all I used back then - they got really mad when me and my kid took first, second, third in their end of year drag series race. My kid even won two of 3 raffle prizes - what a day at the track that was. (kid got 1, 2) I didn't even own a tire wrench or soldering iron - Tem was our tuner.
Floriduh needs a King thats for sure
