I have a long list of curious slot car Thingies bodies that remain unidentified! I could be wrong ans maybe it is an actual racer from back in the day!

This one has intrigued me for a long time as.it is yet another pseudo Can-Am style of body. Rumor is that is is a Riggen body bur really unsure of that.

Look at the photos. One of them shown is a Dave Lenz racer.Anyone here have the answer?

Please advise if you know what this is called and who made it!

Thanks everyone.

Elfin.  I have one I got from Dallas Booth ages ago.  Philippe said in a prior thread it was Lancer.  I didn't know if Lancer or Russkit, but it doesn't look like the Russkit Elfin on the LASCM site.

The Elfin body was very popular at one time. The bodies in the pictures are completely different.

Maybe this is not an Elfin body?

So? Who made THIS Elfin??

It does not look like the Russkit I have seen and it doesn't appear on the Lancer lists on this blog.

The blue one is a
Russkit, not sure they ever came out, never saw one except in PDLs book. The Russkit we raced was a completely different looking body.

Even EDO many years ago was asking about this body and getting inaccurate information!

Someone said it was a "Lancer": but did NOT say what the official name of it was! I seriously doubt that Lancer made this body.

It is not like any Can-Am - Interseries or Sports racing car I have ever seen! This body is a thingie!

One example was recently discovered by a legendary mold maker/body puller and I wish he would reveal that here one day!

Would dc-65x's  SF Bay area friend Rodney be any help? He has some of the original Lenz thingies.

TN_Road_America-1965-09-05-015.jpg  Maybe ELVA Mk-7?

No matter what, the nose is not the same of the model, maybe altered to cover a guide flag.

It is a one off Elfin-Repco/Olds. I will have to dig up one next time I will be in the "sanctuary" and get pictures of it. Dallas Booth made replicas of it and these are the ones that show up here and there, as well as poor repops made by a few others.

This rare and so far unknown thingie recently appeared on the Slot Car Thingies facebook page of Steve Kempson.

Malcolm Elliott, man of a million thingies, posted it and calls it a "Pactra Elfin". Can anyone here verify this origin?

I want this body but have never found one yet!

Thanks everyone.

The body is an originally russkit.  Booth Machine and Hobby aquired the original russkit mold and reproduced the body some years ago.

There were several molds made of this body, and the LASCM also has one.

Philippe was it a real car in the day? Anybody got any pics of the real 1/1 race car?

I did a search myself and this is the closest thing I can find. Notice a bit of a pointed nose and headlights in the same place.

But not much else from this shot.

I was wrong calling the orange car Pactra. I'm leaning towards Russkit. However, after exhaustive research regarding Australian firm, that produced the life sized cars, I couldn't find anything that looked quite like the beautiful slot body.
