I'm out of 36D brushes and I can't find any online. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure 26D and 36D brushes are the same size. Am I right, or wrong?

Your standard Koford Super Bigfoot II or Proslot Gold Dust brushes are 36D size.

Yep, I'm wrong. What was I thinking?

26D are the same size as stock vintage FT16D brushes. Am I right now? :laugh2:

What Swiss said.

Aren't 16D slightly different size to 26D ones? One being slightly taller or wider than the other? Although I can't remember which :laugh2:

Actually, 36D (*Mike is right), 26D (*Paul is right too!), 16D and 13UO are all different sizes.

Brush holders are kinda hard to measure accurately with calipers, but I come up with:

16D .115 height X .115 width

26D .118 height X .120 width

The only person I know that has MABUCHI 36D brushes is Buzzy (BUZZ A RAMA) …………...but they are not cheap.

Nicky, i have a few 36D "pull-outs" left from my wing car days. Back in the '70s, these were 'the' brushes to use. After-market brushes were generally unavailable. I once bought a few new 36D motors cheap, pulled the brushes, & threw away everything else. I did keep one complete motor, but i don't know why.

I had a plastic box of Classic brand brushes and springs on ebay last year and a card of Monogram last week.   None of them ever got bids.   Not sure how many more of these I can get, but I bet my guy has quite a few.    I still have these and I will ask if he has more next time I talk to him.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try some Koford/Proslot brushes & see how they compare.
