A while back, my magnet matcher ("gaussmeter") started doing weird stuff. I fiddled with it and it started working correctly again...then it started doing weird stuff again. Anyhow, the maker (Guillermo Suar) of this tool (*the "G Meter") took it back and fixed it up pronto, so I'm back in the saddle again. I've used the h-e-double-hockey-sticks out of this thing for years now, and really depend on it quite a lot. I don't think he makes them anymore, which makes his repair even more remarkable. THIS is the kind of service that really stands out so...THANKS Guillermo!
BTW...it really doesn't matter whether or not the meter reads in actual gauss or whatever scale is used. What does matter is if the results are reliable/repeatable and a usable "relative" strength from magnet to magnet can be measured. This meter does that well.
A shout out to Guillermo Suar
