The IRRA® BoD wants to make tech inspectors and racers aware that there is a motor now available that could possibly be confused for the IRRA®-mandated JK Hawk Retro if its unique engraving was not visible or has been removed.

It is the Professor Motor 'B52 Ball Bearing Motor 50,000 RPM,' part number B52M50BB. This motor is not legal for use in racing under IRRA® rules.

Bushings don't wear on these motors.

Epic waste of time.

Dave's point was the brushes wear out before bushing wear is a problem.

While you hear about an occasional defective one, every two or three years, the motor shafts and bushings on this style are typically incredible.

232+ hours, and 3,400+ real miles, on the Hawk 25 I tested, is certainly a testament.

These B52 motors are amazing. Balance is super, without a doubt the best in the business.

Those I have tested of the 50,000 RPM are not quite as fast (within a tenth of a second) as a PS4002FK & 7. But in my opinion, a motor that is a contender for class racing.

B52 also make a 25,000 RPM model with ball bearings at both ends and comes with the same superb balancing.

Try them, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for your assessment of it, Gill.

Any idea what the wind is?

Thanks, Paul, for your confidence, but I don't. I can ask Andy tomorrow, but not sure B52 has shared that.

I've looked on websites in Brazil and no specs available. The Professor is going to ask, but won't be surprised if specs not shared.

To me what the wind is, is irrelevant, if it performs as one wants, then that's all that matters.

To the IRRA® it does matter.

If it's 65t30, then possibly if Jose Mario wants to do a run with bushings, it could be a viable motor for us to approve.

Of course, he could also have a bushing version changed to 65t30.
