Just scored a Taig ballscrew CNC mill on eBay with everything except computer - for $800!

Try to get conversational CNC controls. G-code can be a little confusing for newbies.

Congrats, Alan. The Taig stuff looks mighty fine!
Thank you, gentlemen. I believe the controller supports conversion of CAD files to G code but we'll see. I can "sort of" lurch my way through a "baby" CAD program that I have but that will probably need polishing as well.
Yes, from what I have read, the Taig mill, despite its somewhat "basic" appearance, is very capable. The first project that I have in mind will actually be in machinist's wax - making a prototype pattern for a mold to resin cast louvres for a couple of 1/32 '30s GP car projects.
