Of all the slot car manufacturers from the late 60's-early 70's era which one would you consider produced the most realistic, best looking hardbody, especially Can-Ams and other sports cars.  Thanks.....

Agreed. I used Cox bodies on my scratchbuilt chassis. Second would be Revell.

Cox, but AMT is right there also.  If AMT had used smaller motors and did a better job with interiors, they would be right there with Cox, or at least closer.

I think the Cox Lotus builds the best looking car.  It might be the color scheme of the Lotus.

Don't forget Tamiya for the bodies, but their interiors let them down.

I'd agree, Cox were the overall best.

Steve,

I agree about the interiors.  For the Tamiya I built I cut out the whole thing and then put a lexan interior in it's place.  Ended looking pretty good.....

i agree that the Cox Lotus is the best. I also like the Monogram series, The Fort GT Roadster is my favorite.

We are overlooking the Monogram Hotshot Midget and the Lotus 38.  They  may be the very best detailed hardbody slot cars ever made.

What about the Strombecker Dirt Track Racer?

These are actually bodies I made 20 years ago, but I used a Strom Dirt Tracker to make the mold.

Today you can get a really nice complete body from  Big Donkey Resins.
