For starts,I KNOW Willy's coupe bodies come up on EBAY once every often, but I cannot seem to get my hands on one that is an actual 1940.Most I am seeing are 1941 Willy's,like a Du-Bro Willy's  P/N  #24-34  (The 1940 Willy's has a split, two piece grille ,41's had the longer, one piece.)I really do not want to put a hard body on this chassis. I would like to get a Butyrate or a lexan plastic body if possible?

I am wanting a 1940 but might have to settle for a 1941 if that is all that is available?? I need to finish a chassis project I started years ago. This is a tribute to my long past friend Melvin's 1940 Willy's coupe.(Cancer sucks A__!!!    :(  ) I used to help out with this car a tiny bit back in the 90's when I finally convinced him to stick another engine in it and make a few runs. It was one of my FAVORITE drag cars  of all time !(427 CI BBChev 6-71 Littlefield blower Pretty much early 70's period correct.  ;) )

If I cannot locate a 1940 body, does anyone know of a RED 1941 Du-Bro body I could get my hands on???

At one time REH Distributing had bought all of the remaining DuBro inventory around 1968.  They had several generations supply of this body.  Perhaps a track could order one or more  for you assuming they still have them.  I'd start with the two tracks in Chicago who do mail order.

You can check with VFC( Vacuum Formed Creations)  at Fast Tracks Hobbies in Bechtelsville, Pa. 484-415-0660. I think Gene has a Du Bro repop. I don't know if its a 40 or 41. You would have to ask him.

VFC produces more than ERI carries. You can try part number X-03. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of it for reference.

VFC's email is Fasttrackshobbies@comcast.net

Prof Motor has been selling some painted '41s for $10 for years, but only green, white, & silver left on site.
