Come one, come all for the first official ProTrack race on our new Ed Tunkel-designed and built high-speed oval.

All the rules are now on our website www.atlantaslotcarraceway.com.

Michael:

Looks like you are going to have a great race on the new oval (wish I could make it but I'm now in Florida) but I have one bit of advice that may help those that want to come to the race.  Post on your website, and in the Slotblog announcement, a picture of the track and important set-up info/data as my example below shows...

Atlanta New Oval Slotcar Track.jpg

Recommended set up for Stockcar race on the ASCR xx' long Oval:

Body: XXX or XXX
Gearing: 8/xx or 9/xx
Tires: JK xx or Alpha xx
Times to shoot for: 2.x - 3.x

Power: xx volts, Battery? Transformer? Combo?

Braid Recess: .xxx"

This kind of information can be a tremendous help to out-of-towners and others on-the-fence about coming to the race and will significantly reduce the amount of pre-race thrashing they have to do to be competitive.  All of this should tighten the competition and will greatly enhance their experience at your race.

I hope you find this helpful and I'm looking forward to getting up to Atlanta and racing with you in the near future.

Knowing the braid recess on this oval would be helpful too.

Good catch Bill, I added it to my example.  Every track owner having a race should add this kind of info on their race announcement.
