Hello all .and please accept my apologies for the delay in getting the RetroPro race report posted. It has been a very rough week for me and I've had very little time to devote to my responsibilities in this class. Before we go on to the business at hand I have an announcement to make.
From this day forward I'm passing the reigns off to either James Grinstead or Sam Rackham to take over the duties of the RetroPro class. Furthermore, I will no longer be racing Retro as a whole. After this last race, I've come to the conclusion I can no longer keep up (off the track) due to my health. I don't want to retire, I have to...
Now on to the business I came here to do.
We had 17 entries at this year's CheckPoint Cup for RetroPro. Quite a healthy draw in comparison to previous events and as usual, Jame Grinstead came out very strong turning a blistering 3.145. I'm not sure if that is a record but it sounds like one. Sam Rackham right behind him 3.150.
Seventeen RetroPro cars just teched:
When the dust settled in the first of two mains.
Rick Linn taking the win, Joe Chevy in second , andJerry Johnson making up the final podium position.
I should have put this in sooner but here is how they qualified.
And finally the A main podium.
