DMW products.

John, these are the one's I use. They are plated, seems to be spring steel or heat treated (never had one bend) and are priced right.

Of course they are priced right.

He bypasses raceways and distributors.

"Better Affordability Through Better Value"

Translated, "IOW, I don't care if I F the raceways."

What's particularly offensive is he has copied another manufacturer's design.

IOW, he made them to expressly look like the Slick 7 tongue.

it looks like a s7 tongue, but the material is not spring steel.  they're okay, but i'm not sure how strong it is.

So if I manufacture and produce my own brand of 2mm or 3/32" axles, am I deemed to be offensive?

:(

Ron,

Totally different situation because an axle can only be made one way.

Regardless, if you came up with something, even an axle, to sell to other racers in your club, and it destroyed sales for the item your club sold to help pay the rent, I have a feeling it would be frowned upon.

In the case of that guide tongue, he could of made hundreds of different designs, and it would of functioned the same, but he essentially back poured it.

He sells cobalt magnets, which is an item that one would only use at a commercial track, but he makes sure he only sells direct.

When I called this guy out before, he was somewhat apologetic, and said he intended to add to his website how he will offer discounts to raceways.

It's a couple years later, and still nothing that I can spot.

He doesn't serve any function in the commercial raceway ecosystem, other than to make money for himself.

Here's this guy's malarkey from 14 months ago.

http://slotblog.net/...ne-vs-raceways/

"Whereas I do offer raceways additional discounts vs. anyone else out there, it is not clear on the website. I can work on that."

It's not clear because it's not there. LOL

Ok, is the CR low CG guide available from Eagle? REH? ETC?

Same thing.

If I had a cool product, I'd sell direct as well. Slot racing is not an industry, it's a "cottage industry". Always has been. Get over it.

I do sell them to raceways (probably at least 15) at a discount,  and I sell them so I can pay the rent, so I can offer slot racing to anybody who walks in, about 350 days out of the year.

His Slick 7 clone is not a "cool product".

It's a staple of slot racing, that he copied, and is selling for 1/3-1/4 the price, because he has cut out everyone but himself.
