My first routed track build is nearly complete. Need to build a pit building and add some more crash barriers and other scenery. Have switched to PG urethanes as they seem to grip my satin latex floor paint surface better and hold grip for more laps than the silicones. Having a ball!

Nice, I like a simpler track plan, not  spaghetti dumped on a table.   Yo hit it pretty close.

I have added a pit building, some scenery, and a few more cars. Pit made with mdf scraps, basswood and sheet plastic concrete blocks with RR ballast for the flat tar roof. Decals on pit and barrier walls printed on clear self adhesive sheets using cheap H/P ink jet printer from internet logo images.
There is also a Ferrari 312 in its pit since these pics were taken.

I love it!

Mike, what kind of tires do you run?

I know, I know! Spent most of today’s “slot car time” painting the sheet rock in the track room and printing/ framing some posters I downloaded from the Slot-it website. Did manage to find time to swap out the foam tires on my JK Peugeots for urethanes and log some laps. I think with a little lead they may be drivable at 10 volts after all. I’ve found that I prefer the more realistic scale cars to the aero style slot racers, so I may add a front axle and covert them to Group C hard bodies. I guess I’ve always had more fun building than racing even during my first go-around 50 years ago.
