Looking for some super hard donuts to make fronts.

Got some hard Wonder donuts from Mike S. and although hard, looking for the hardest rubber I can find.

Any suggestions or information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Denny K

If you have the ability to turn some rubber down, use model car tires, just my 2/100!

Sounds like mine.

When Retro racing started, Sonic sold a very hard front. Maybe they still have some of that rubber.

FWIW, they were noisy, like a vintage car going around the track. At Sano 1, Jay Guard was practicing with some, on the flat track, and I commented how loud they were, and he might consider changing them. He did, and said his car improved.

So at least on my tight flat track, they were a bad idea.

A couple of points, and a possible solution:

Eagle Dist. is a wholesaler. Unless you are a slot car business owner, you will need to ask your local track to get them for you.

Extra hardness comes with extra weight. Model car tires are not just noisy, they are also heavy.

JK carries front tire donuts.  :D

Yeah I tried some of those "Sonic" fronts--they were so hard they let vibration run right into the car--it didn't handle badly--but I picked up 2 tenths by changing them to the JK fronts we all run in Retro!!

She's real fine, my 409!!!
